“I’ll never lose this toy,” exclaimed then 6-year-old Shane Halbur as he clutches his Playmobile toy during his shopping spree with Webster County Sheriff’s Reservist Perry Hewett at Target. The toy aisles bustled with children escorted by Fort Dodge police officers and Webster County sheriff’s deputies as each child pondered the question, “How will I spend $100?” The annual Santa Cops event is still going with the Iowa State Patrol troopers also participating.
