DeDe Carver encourages Humboldt residents to vote yes on Aug. 31 to build an aquatic center to replace the Humboldt Municipal Swimming Pool. Carver once managed the pool, was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons there. ‘‘My grandfather helped raised the money to fund the pool 52 years ago,’’ she said.
