SPORTS: St. Edmond beat Council Bluffs St. Albert 11-8 in baseball.

25 Years ago:July 28, 1994

NEWS: The Fall Fest Express, a children’s train ride, chugged its way around the City Square as sponsors of the third annual Fort Dodge Fall Fest kicked off the event.

SPORTS: St. Edmond sophomores Katie Collison and Lacy Runyan were selected to the all-North Central Conference first-team softball team.

50 Years ago: July 28, 1969

NEWS: Cleanup continued in Dayton following rain and hail damage from weekend storms, which also caused Dolliver Park to be closed.

SPORTS: Prince of Peace, of Fort Dodge and St. Olaf, lost to Jesup 10-4 and Waterloo 11-2 in the state slo-pitch softball tournament.
