Veterans Day ceremony is Nov. 11 at St. Ed

A Veterans Day ceremony will be held Nov. 11 at St. Edmond High School with music starting at 10:45 a.m. and the ceremony beginning at 10:59 a.m.

This event is open to the general public. It is organized by the 133rd Test Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard with the assistance of the Fort Dodge Veterans Council and St. Edmond High School.

The 133rd Test Squadron Honor Guard of the Iowa Air National Guard will kick off the event by presenting the colors and performing a POW/MIA table ceremony.

The Veterans Day ceremony will include a guest speaker and will conclude with a patriotic flag ritual and rifle salute to cap off the event.

St. Edmond students will provide patriotic music for all to enjoy.

Following the ceremony, the local Veterans of Foreign Wars will be serving bean soup and corn bread at POST 1856 across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings on the corner of Fifth Avenue South and South 29th Street.
