FDSH students honored at Letter Award Night

Fort Dodge Senior High held Academic Letter Award Night on Tuesday to recognize students for outstanding academic achievement. The program recognizes students who have earned a 3.5 or higher grade-point average for three consecutive semesters. The first time students achieve this accomplishment they receive the Academic Letter and each additional time they achieve a 3.5 grade-point average for three consecutive semesters they receive a bar to put on their letters.

FDSH honored 69 students with their Academic Letter at this event. In addition, 53 students earned their first bar and 25 additional students earned their second bars. “This event is a great way to celebrate the academic success we experience at Fort Dodge Senior High,” said Matt Elsbecker, assistant principal. “It’s an honor to be able to recognize the academic effort and success of so many students through this program.”
