FDSH students honored at FCCLA conference
Fort Dodge Senior High students recently participated in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in Des Moines.
Students presented Students Taking Action with Recognition projects. STAR projects are competitive events where members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills and career preparation. FDSH results were as follows:
• McKayla Smith received gold and qualified for Nationals.
• Kayla Smith received gold and is an alternate for Nationals.
• Olivia Pattison received silver.
In addition, Kayla Smith received a certificate for completion of Step 1.
“Fort Dodge FCCLA had an amazing State Leadership Rally,” said Julie Schreiber, FCCLA advisor. “The students worked really hard on their projects, and their efforts were recognized through their awards.”
