FDSH girls swim team is All American Scholar Team

The Fort Dodge Senior High girls swim team has been accepted as an All American Scholar Team by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The team was named a Silver All American Scholar Team with a team grade-point average of 3.7. The team will be recognized with a certificate noting the accomplishment.

In addition, Emily Asay earned the All-American Academic honor through the same organization by maintaining at least a 3.75 grade-point average as a graduating senior.

“This recognizes the hard work the team put in the classroom,” said Ashely Beaumont, girls swim coach. “I am so proud of their success both in the classroom and in the pool. These kids are leading by example with their work ethic.”

Members of the team include: Aja Jallow, Claire Asay, Emma Johnston, Isabelle Burger, Kylie Crimmins, Kylie Reed, Maria Elizondo, Olivia Anderson, Rylie Reed, Taylor Johnson, Ashlyn Wacholtz, Claire Kienzle, Grace Hartley, Maddie Major, Rylie Becker, Rylie Stienkamp, Sydney Crimmins, Alicia Reed, Elora Fierke, Kathryn Flores, Kosett Burnmeister, Luanne Xiao, Madigan Piemann, Morgan Border, Emily Asay, Emily Happel and Mackie Poland.
