McColley newest security guard at Iowa Central
Zach McColley has been hired as a full-time security guard with Iowa Central. McColley, who graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High, was previously a part-time security guard with the school.
Hy-Vee to provide biometric screenings
WEST DES MOINES— Hy-Vee, Inc. will provide free biometric screenings throughout its eight-state region during National Cholesterol Education Month in September. Hy-Vee dietitians will offer 1,000 free biometric screenings to customers at more than 40 Hy-Vee store locations. Appointments will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Heddinger earns CFP designation
Grant Heddinger, of Central Financial Group, has earned the distinguished Certified Financial Planner designation. Only about 20% of practicing financial advisors have this certification, which is recognized as one of the highest standards of excellence in personal financial planning. Heddinger joined Central Financial Group in 2014 after graduating from the University of Iowa with a business degree in finance and economics.
Messerly part of the admissions team
Conley Messerly, a Fort Dodge native and St. Edmond High School graduate, is now part of the Iowa Central admissions team. Messerly, who earned degrees from both Iowa Central and Iowa State, previously worked for the Iowa State athletics department and the American Junior Golf Association. He was part of the Triton golf team while in school.
Alexis added to the track and field program
Jonathan Alexis has been added to the Iowa Central track and field team as an assistant coach, along with working as housing coordinator. Alexis, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., joins Iowa Central after stops that included Virginia Union University and Chesterfield County Public Schools. He earned his associates of arts degree from Kingsborough Community College and bachelor’s degree from Virginia Union.
Hamilton becomes health science advisor
Morgan Hamilton, a graduate of Iowa Central, has returned to the school in the role of health science advisor. A native of Humboldt, Hamilton obtained her associate of arts degree from Iowa Central and her a bachelor’s in business management from Buena Vista University. She previously worked at Doolittle Oil Company in Webster City.
