Mallory Nelson, a registered nurse in the Critical Care Unit, was named the September Employee of the Month at UnityPoint Health -- Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Nelson was nominated by Morgan Ladlie, a registered nurse supervisor/trauma coordinator Emergency Services, who said Nelson provides exceptional care through unwavering kindness, compassion and dedication.
"Mallory creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels supported, valued and like a friend through her personable approach," said Ladlie. "She shares knowledge, encourages growth and sets a high standard for professional practice."
Through her many roles, Nelson remains calm, present and patient-focused -- even in the most challenging circumstances. She continues to seize opportunities to improve care delivery and inspire those around her.
"Mallory's commitment and heart for service make a meaningful and lasting impact every day. She is the presence others should, and do, aspire to be when it comes to working in healthcare," said Ladlie.
