Emma Munter, a registered nurse at UnityPoint Clinic Kenyon Road -- Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, was named the August Employee of the Month at UnityPoint Health -- Fort Dodge. Munter was nominated by Jenny Condon, an advanced registered nurse practitioner in Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, who says she has blossomed into a nurse and team member who takes initiative, stands up for what is right and is diligent in following through.
"Emma remembers names, faces, situations and truly takes heart as a nurse, living out her vocation through developing a trusting rapport and utmost professionalism with anyone she encounters," Condon said. "She is non-judgmental, keeps a level head and smile on her face at all times. Emma is a trusted and familiar face when patients walk in our clinic."
Condon shares that patients frequently comment about their experience with her, as the provider, as well as their positive interactions with Munter. She says Munter makes a lasting impact and seizes opportunities to win people over.
"Emma goes beyond her role in serving patients, and I could not help patients and perform my job without her," Condon said. "She is a jack of all trades, not afraid to step out and learn new things, to be a kind and smiling advocate for patients, and a leader in all she does."
