Optimae receives specialized service certification

Optimae LifeServices’ residential-based supported community living programs, located in Ames and Fort Dodge, were recently awarded the specialized service certification required by Iowa Medicaid’s Quality Improvement Organization Home- and Community-Based Services unit. Optimae met all requirements for RBSCL service provision, with no remediations.

According to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, specialized certifications require providers to first be certified and maintain at least a developing level of certification for the corresponding core service. For example, an entity delivering intellectual disability waiver RBSCL services must first be certified as meeting the requirements of the core supported community living service.

RBSCL services are medical or remedial services provided to individuals under the age of 18 while living outside their family home. The services are intended to develop self-help skills to maximize independence while aiming to eliminate barriers to family reunification.

Starting at $4.62/week.
