Mooney named behavioral health director
Community Health Center of Fort Dodge has named Rebecca “Becky” Mooney as its new behavioral health director.
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, she provides mental health evaluation, diagnosis and medication management for patients while also leading and supporting behavioral health programs across the organization.
“I’m excited to join CHC as the behavioral health director,” said Mooney. “I look forward to continuing to grow behavioral health services and improving access to care. Supporting brain health as part of overall wellness is something I care deeply about.”
Mooney brings a diverse background in health care, with experience in emergency medical services, emergency care, medical-surgical nursing, leadership, and education.
A Pocahontas native, Mooney served 10 years in the United States Army before pursuing her nursing career. She earned her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She continues to serve her community through involvement in local EMS and veterans organizations, including the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary.
