Sukovaty earns board certifcations
Dr. Kelsey Sukovaty, a podiatrist at the Midwest Foot and Ankle Center in Fort Dodge, has achieved board certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
She was already board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, so she is now double board certified, by both ABPM and ABFAS.
The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery is considered the highest benchmark, certifying exceptionally skilled podiatrists in foot and ankle surgery in diagnosing and treating a vast range of disorders and deformities. ABFAS Board Certification can take up to seven years to complete and is split into two categories: foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. The process started with ABFAS board qualification for each category. Surgeons must undergo the rigorous process of testing and case review for each to become board certified in each respective category.
Sukovaty is a member of the Board of Directors for the Iowa Podiatric Medical Society and the Iowa Podiatric Licensing Board.
