Jackie Mitchell Hood

Jackie Mitchell Hood, a guest assistant in Volunteer and Guest Services, was named the February Employee of the Month at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

She was nominated by Alison Hanna, manager of Volunteer and Guest Services, for being attentive to patients’ and guests’ needs and putting her best self forward in everything she does.

“Jackie is the one to say, “I can help. Put me wherever you need me,” and she is always willing to go the extra mile to help in uncommon situations she comes across,” Hanna said. “Her default position is to be of service to our guests and patients — and she always starts the day in a positive and happy way.”

Hanna describes her as always smiling, warm, respectful and looking for ways to help.

“Jackie always looks to bring some fun into any and every interaction. She brings laughs and humor to our team,” Hanna said. “Jackie is one of those individuals who truly cares about making a person feel respected and valued. She is focused on our patients and giving them a wonderful experience.”
