Cameron Nelson has joined First Interstate Bank as a commercial relationship manager. In this role, Nelson establishes and maintains an advisor relationship with existing clients while developing and growing new business.

Nelson has seven years’ experience in sales and management, previously serving as general sales manager at Shimkat Motor Co. He attended Iowa Central Community College.

“I am excited to build relationships with the businesses in my community and take care of clients’ financial needs,” Nelson said.

Nelson gives his time to several Fort Dodge organizations, serving as the vice president of Lifeworks Charitable Foundation Board, Ambassador for Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance, on the steering committee for Leadership Fort Dodge, and as a committee member of Pleasant Valley Awareness. He holds a seat as a board member for Knights of Columbus, Webster County Crime Stoppers, and Stage Door Productions, as well as representing Ward 2 on the Fort Dodge City Council. His free time is spent with his wife Melissa, toddler Jack, and their two dogs.
