SAC CITY — Details Flowers has been named the Small Business of the Week by U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst.

“Thank you to Cheryl Gerry and the entire team at Details Flowers for spreading joy and creating beautiful floral arrangements and long lasting memories for the Sac City community,” the Republican senator said in a written statement.

Gerry founded Details Flowers in 2000 with two full-time employees and a delivery driver. The business provides floral design, wedding services and home decor. Over the last 24 years, the business has grown to include more part-time employees, undergone an extensive renovation and moved to the upper floor of its orginal location on Main Street. The Sac City Chamber of Commerce gave Details Flowers the Business of the Year Award in 2010 and 2023. It also received a Business of the Month Award in 2023.

The staff of Details Flowers visits nursing homes and assisted living facilities on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to give flowers to residents.

Ernst is the top Republican on the Senate Small Business Committee. Each week she recognizes a different small business.
