Ernst recognizes Martin Hildreth Co.
ROCKWELL CITY — Martin Hildreth Co., of Rockwell City, has been recognized as her Small Business of the Week by U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst.
Founded in 1954, Martin Hildreth Co. provides excavation contracting services. It does work for the telecommunications and utilities industries. It also digs graves in local cemeteries. The business has been located on High Street in Rockwell City since its beginning.
Members of the Hildreth family have been involved in the local wrestling scene and have served on the Calhoun County Economic Development Corp.
“With three generations of family leadership, Martin Hildreth Co. exemplifies what it means to be a family-owned and operated business,” Ernst, a Republican, said in a written statement. “For 70 years, the Hildreth family has provided essential excavation services in Calhoun County and has worked hard to give back to their community and our nation’s veterans.”
