Hanna receives A.C.E. Award

Alison Hanna

Alison Hanna, manager of volunteer and guest services/patient safety companions, received the A.C.E. Award at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Hanna was nominated by Jamie Comstock-Cramer, a patient sitter, for the work she had done with the Patient Safety Companion Team.

The A.C.E. Award stands for Always Committed to Excellence and recognizes individuals for at least one specific, exemplary action.

“Alison took on the Patient Safety Companion Team in the middle of a very chaotic and frustrating stage,” Comstock-Cramer said. “In a short amount of time, she has earned the utmost respect and appreciation from the team, because she herself demonstrated those attributes toward the team.”

Hanna has started to rebuild the foundation of the Patient Safety Companion Team by rounding with team members, leading team meetings, honoring team members and reaching out with weekly emails and reminders. She ensures the team members have the appropriate training for their job, and “makes the team feel appreciated, heard and valued.”
