Tom Grau

Tom Grau has joined Storm Lake United as the member development and support specialist.

His responsibilities will include working closely with current Storm Lake United members, helping them maximize their benefits and resources, and facilitating the recruitment of new members who share a commitment to the growth and prosperity of Storm Lake. Additionally, he will drive further growth for Storm Lake by expanding and recruiting members from the other communities in Buena Vista County.

“I’m excited to be a part of Storm Lake United and contribute to the economic vitality of this vibrant area,” Grau said. “Storm Lake has a wealth of potential, and I look forward to working with local businesses and community partners to help them thrive.”

Grau holds a bachelor’s degree in public service and administration and animal science from Iowa State University, in Ames and he earned his law degree from Drake University in Des Moines in 1995, specializing in business and tax law. His professional background includes executive director of the Pocahontas County Economic Development Commission, advisor and project manager for the Iowa Department of Economic Development and various positions with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
