EAGLE GROVE — Brian Ayersman, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, is joining the staff of the Community Health Center of Eagle Grove.

He will be available to take patients, children through adult, starting Nov. 28 for evaluation and treatment. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Ayersman is able to diagnose psychiatric or mental health illnesses and provide medication management.

Ayersman earned his associate degree in nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, his bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain College in Addison, Illinois; and his master’s degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota; where he graduated with a specialty in psychiatry (PMHNP). Prior to earning his degree to practice, he worked as a psychiatric nurse at the VA of Central Iowa for nine years.

Community Health Center of Eagle Grove also offers medical and dental services and has been serving the Eagle Grove area since July. Community Health Center of Eagle Grove is open to all and accepts insured, underinsured and uninsured patients. They offer a sliding-fee scale based on income and household size for those that qualify. The clinic is located at 306 W Broadway. Appointments can be made by calling 515-293-8111.
