Michael Doster, advanced registered nurse practitioner in hospital medicine, received the A.C.E. Award at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center. Doster received the award for going above and beyond in assisting a patient who was going through a difficult time.

“After arriving at the hospital, Michael treated me with respect and kindness,” the patient wrote. “He didn’t make me feel any different than any other. Thank you to him and all the wonderful people at UnityPoint Health.”

Not only did Michael check in on the patient each day, but he connected them with a social worker for extra help.

The A.C.E. Award stands for Always Committed to Excellence and recognizes individuals for at least one specific, exemplary action.
