Linn Block

LAKE CITY — Linn Block has been named chief executive officer of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.

“On behalf of the UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, I am very pleased to announce Linn as the new CEO at SMCH,” said Leah Glasgo, market president, UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge. “Linn is a Lake City native with tremendous health care leadership experience.”

Currently, Block is the CEO at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning and has served in the role since 2019. She has been in health care leadership for 18 years and a nurse for 32 years. During her time at MRHC, she worked to improve access to care while enhancing team member engagement. As a result, she was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 80 Rural Hospital CEO to Know in 2023 and her efforts helped MRHC earn a 2022 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Employee Engagement.
