Halverson to serve at Friendship Haven as director of spiritual care

Denise Halverson

Denise Halverson joined Friendship Haven as director of engagement in 2016 and has now accepted a new calling as director of spiritual care. In her role, she will serve the spiritual care needs of residents, families, and team members. She will offer nurturing support for spiritual wellness, including worship leadership, Bible study and devotional services, grief support, hospital visitation, and spiritual guidance through life transitions.

A longtime Fort Dodge resident, Halverson has been active in lay ministry for several years and is currently engaged in chaplaincy certification.

Friendship Haven is a not-for-profit, life plan community, offering innovative and responsive services to aging adults. Living options on its campus include independent living town homes and apartments, assisted living, skilled nursing care, rehabilitation therapy, and memory support programs.
