Patty Grossnickle

Patty Grossnickle, a registered nurse coordinator in the Norma Schmoker Cancer Center, was named the April Employee of the Month for UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge.

She was nominated by her co-worker, Julie Barkema, a registered nurse in the Infusion Center.

Barkema’s nomination reads:

“Patty Grossnickle is a prime example of our FOCUS Values. Patty is an extremely hard worker. She goes above and beyond for both patients and her own department. Patty owns the moment not only by completing her own work assignments, but she is also covering for our patient navigator role during an employee absence. Patty has seized opportunity to help as she has also stepped in to cover our empty nursing positions in the cancer center. Patty is always so busy, but she never fails to put a patient first.”
