Ashley Makuch, human resources business partner at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center, was named the February Employee of the Month.

Makuch was nominated by Chelsie Dobney, HR recruiter for UnityPoint Health.

“Since starting her career at UnityPoint Health, Ashley quickly settled into her new position and exceeded expectations in every way,” Dobney said. “Her role includes tough challenges and difficult conversations with people she respects. Despite some of the challenging days, she brings light and laughter to our workplace. I look forward to working with her every day because I know there’s bound to be some lightheartedness.”

Makuch is invested in the success of those she serves. She attends career events, student meetings and community events to help promote UnityPoint Health. Makuch is on numerous committees, and is a confidant to team members when they need someone to listen.

“Ashley encourages growth in others and has become an important piece of our affiliate,” said Dobney. “She is also known for seizing opportunities, and when issues are presented she doesn’t dwell. She has a can-do attitude and steps up anytime she identifies an opportunity.”

Makuch began her career at UnityPoint Health two years ago.
