Schaeffer returns to Friendship Haven as senior living advisor

Molly Schaeffer

Friendship Haven announces the return of Molly Schaeffer as the new senior living advisor. Schaeffer previously held the positions of campus social worker and director of adult day services before transitioning to a different career in the community.

The new senior living advisor role will replace Rollie Peterson, residential life director, after his retirement in January. Schaeffer will be responsible for resident relations and helping seniors transition from their current home to their new homes at Friendship Haven.

She is originally from Garner and went to school at South Dakota State University, in Brookings, South Dakota, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human services and family studies with a minor in gerontology. She has lived in Fort Dodge since 2008 with her husband, Chad. She loves spending time with her three children and friends. She also loves spending lots of time outside camping, kayaking, biking, and golfing, as well as some creative hobbies such as playing piano, knitting, and crocheting.
