SBDC experts to visit Bancroft

BANCROFT – America’s Small Business Development Center Iowa has announced dates and communities for their #IASBDCMobile initiative.

A team of experts in marketing, accounting and operations will be traveling to different communities around Iowa and offering free resources regarding e-commerce, QuickBooks, shipping and business operations.

Bancroft is one of several chosen communities for this new initiative, and the SBDC will be partnering with Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development to host the event. The mobile event will be visiting Bancroft City Hall, 105 E. Ramsey St., on Oct. 20.

The day will start with a chance for business owners to speak with small business experts in person anytime between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and have their questions answered (come and go as you please).

America’s SBDC Iowa will be offering appointments all day to walk businesses through setting up their online shop on ShopIowa.com, stage products and answer general questions. It’s recommend to pre-register for Shop Iowa before your scheduled appointment to make the most of your time. You can register on ShopIowa.com/sell. If interested in setting up an appointment please reach marketing manager, Brianna Hall at bschwind@iastate.edu.

“We are extremely excited to get out there in these communities and talk with businesses directly about ways we can help them,” said Lisa Shimkat, state director. “We are also ready to keep promoting the online platform, Shop Iowa, and get businesses registered on the site so that they can start generating more revenue immediately.”
