UnityPoint Clinic Surgery welcomes Worple
UnityPoint Clinic Surgery has added Dr. Ericha Worple to its team of surgeons.
“I became a surgeon to provide high quality surgical care to people who live in rural areas,” said Worple. “I’m motivated each day by the positive impact I can make on people’s lives.”
Worple received her medical degree at Des Moines University and spent a year at UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge for medical school rotations. She completed a residency at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania.
“I am excited to be back in Fort Dodge to start my practice,” Worple said. “Throughout my medical education I was able to experience a lot of different health systems. UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge’s patient centered approach really resonated with me. In addition, the availability of staff and physicians, as well as the teamwork that takes place in the hospital, inpatient floors and clinics is second to none.”
Dr. Worple is eligible for the American Board of Surgery and American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. She specializes in general surgery and has clinical interests in gallbladder and hernia surgeries, as well as screening endoscopies.
