Jones named chief nursing executive

UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center announced Kari Jones, Bachelor of Science in nursing and registered nurse, will become the chief nursing executive of Trinity Regional Medical Center effective Monday.

“On behalf of Trinity, I am very pleased to announce Kari as our CNE,” said Leah Glasgo, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge. “I’ve had the privilege to work with her when I was president and CEO at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and I am confident she is the right person for this role within our organization.”

Jones currently serves as the chief nursing officer for Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and McCrary Rost Clinics.

Jones has more than 25 years of diverse nursing experience, ranging from critical care and emergency medicine to oncology, hospice and homecare, including many years of nursing leadership.

She joined Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in 2004 as a staff nurse. She transitioned to her first leadership role in 2010 and was named CNO in 2015.

Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and is pursuing a Master of Science in nursing through the University of Phoenix.
