HUMBOLDT — Anthony Tegtmeyer, a graduate of Humboldt High School, has been recognized by Project Lead The Way as the Engineering Teacher of the Year, the highest recognition for PLTW engineering educators.

Tegtmeyer is an aerospace engineer graduate from Iowa State University.

He holds a master’s degree in teaching.

Tegtmeyer is in his sixth year of teaching at Neuqua Valley High School in the Indian Prairie School District in Naperville, Illinois.

The award is based on merit and is a reflection of Tegtmeyer’s strong alignment to PLTW’s mission; exceptional commitment to students; school leadership; and meaningful involvement in PLTW curriculum, assessment and professional development.
