Family Planning Clinic offers reduced cost screenings

Women age 40 and older who are in need of cervical and breast cancer screenings but can not afford them can now receive these services at the Webster County Family Planning Clinic.

The Webster County Family Planning Clinic, located at 110 N. 12th St., has been named a ‘Care For Yourself’ provider.

This program covers the cost of cervical and breast cancer screenings and diagnostics for women age 40 and older that meet income guidelines.

“As a provider for the ‘Care For Yourself’ program, we are now able to help all women receive the necessary cancer screenings and diagnostics, no matter their income level,” said Dr. Kelli Wallace. “This is a goal of the Family Planning Clinic as we are here to serve everyone. We are excited for these new opportunities with ‘Care For Yourself.’

Women in Webster, Hamilton, Wright, Humboldt, and Calhoun counties are eligible for screenings at the Family Planning Clinic.

The Care For Yourself program will allow Wallace and staff at the Family Planning Clinic to perform cervical cancer screenings and breast exams on site.

Mammograms would be referred to one of the area enrolled providers.
