CHC adds blood pressure monitors

The Community Health Center of Fort Dodge has added automatic blood pressure monitors for each medical provider at the Fort Dodge clinic.

The purchase was made possible through fundraising efforts.

The health center’s annual fundraising event held in November 2019 raised the funds necessary to make this this purchase.

“Each year we identify something that would improve patient care” said Renae Kruckenberg, CEO of the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge.

The automatic monitors are used by health center staff to check vital signs.

“They are more comfortable for patients than older automatic blood pressure cuffs and more accurate as well” said Kruckenberg.

In addition to comfort and accuracy they save clinician staff time, she said.
