AMES — Brady Read, of Fort Dodge, began a 12-week internship on May 20 with Renewable Energy Group (REG).

Read is an agricultural business student at Iowa State University. He is working as an operations control team analytics intern this summer.

REG offers a comprehensive internship program that gives students the opportunity to test their skills working for North America’s largest biodiesel producer.

Throughout the summer, interns gain valuable experiences through networking events, job shadows and developing a capstone project with real business value.

At the conclusion of the program, the interns present their completed projects to REG’s Senior Leadership Team.

“We are thrilled to offer such a valuable experience to a great group of students,” said Jeff Staton, executive director of human resources at REG. “Our internship program equips students to handle real-world business situations while allowing them to immerse themselves in a growing industry.”
