LAKE CITY — Redenius Chiropractic, of Lake City, has teamed up with Dr. Lee Merritt, MD, of Omaha, Nebraska, to offer stem cell therapy.

Some studies on stem cell therapy have shown that the therapy relieves pain in joints and pain experienced from neurodegenerative diseases.

Until recently, treatment options were often temporary or surgical. Stem cell therapy is a much less invasive option that allows the body to regenerate and heal itself.

In this type of therapy, a patient’s own bone mesenchymal stem cells are removed and then injected into the area of pain.

After being injected, the cells regenerate and initiate the self-recovery process.
