Austin Nerhus has joined the team at Heartland Bank as an agricultural lender. His office will be in Somers, but he will spend most of his time visiting clients on their farms.

Growing up near Badger, Nerhus was actively involved with helping his family with their cow/calf herd and row crop operation.

After attending high school in Fort Dodge, he furthered his education at Iowa Central Community College before moving ont o Iowa State University to complete his degree in agricultural business. Nerhus spent six years as an agronomist for NEW Cooperative Inc. in Badger after graduating from college.
