Susan Ahlers Leman has been promoted to Fort Dodge market president at First American Bank.

Leman started with First American Bank in 2001 as vice president and senior trust officer and was promoted to senior vice president/private wealth advisor in 2011. In 2014, her role in the Fort Dodge market was expanded.

Leman will continue as the bank’s senior fiduciary officer/private wealth adviser for the bank as a relationship manager for nonprofit, endowment and charitable institutional clients. She works extensively with individuals and families primarily in the areas of investment management, retirement, gift and estate planning.

Leman is active in the community, serving as a board member for the Fort Dodge Community Foundation and United Way, Iowa Central Community College Foundation, Blanden Charitable Foundation, Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association, Stage Door Productions and Noon Rotary Club. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. She holds a Certified Wealth Strategist designation and has her Iowa insurance license in life, health and accident.
