Parents of the couple are Jeremy and Vicki (Kaufman) Bruening, of Decorah; Scott Schmitz, Decorah; and Traci Helgeson, of Cedar Rapids.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 9.
The bride is a sales rep at Stanley Engineering and Fastening. The groom is a quality assurance rechnician with Collins Aerospace. They live in Decorah.
