Parents of the couple are Darci and Gary Mersch, of Clare; Diane Roby, of Fort Dodge; and the late Paul Lara.

Matron of honor was Molly Baker, of Fort Dodge. Bridesmaids included Brittany Miller; Kayla Lara, daughter of the groom; Hanna Lara, daughter of the groom; Allison Lara, daughter of the groom; and Spencer Lara, daughter of the groom; all of Fort Dodge. Personal attendant was Jamie Lara, also of Fort Dodge.

Best man was Matt Lara, of Fort Dodge, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Maxwell Lara, son of the groom, Joe Grandors, Nick Lara, Brad Spencer and Troy Bennett, all of Fort Dodge.

Host and hostess included James Varland and Jolin Price, sister of the groom. Ushers included Jason Miller and Levi Ewing.

The bride has a master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling specialization from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is employed through the Department of Corrections at the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility as a psychologist 3. She also serves as a contractual therapist for Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa, and an adjunct faculty member at Buena Vista University and Iowa Central Community College.

The groom is a graduate of Manson Northwest Webster, but attended Fort Dodge community schools until his senior year. He is employed for Webster County in the Secondary Roads Department.
