Axness — Flattery
MARION — Brooke Axness, of Iowa City, and Neil Flattery, of Cedar Rapids, were married June 30, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fort Dodge.
Parents of the couple are Matt Axness, Jennifer Housken and Dave and Debbie Flattery, all of Fort Dodge.
Maid of honor was Elizabeth Johnson, of Crystal, Minnesota.
Best man was Joe Flattery, of St. Mary’s, Kansas, brother of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Timmi Dencklau, of Fort Dodge; Megan Flattery, of Fort Dodge, sister of the groom; Megan Burke, of West Des Moines; Abby Stromberg, of Fort Dodge, Allie McCrady, of Fort Dodge; and Malinda Baty, of Lake Zurich, Illinois.
Groomsmen were Tim Flattery, of West Des Moines, brother of the groom; Andy Flattery, of Kansas City, Missouri, brother of the groom; Brady Axness, of Fort Dodge, brother of the bride; Bryson Axness, of Fort Dodge, brother of the bride; Ryan Yung, of Des Moines; and Nick Clark, of Fort Dodge.
Flower girls were Charlie Olson, of Callender, and Jacy Harestad, of Grimes.
Ring bearers were Nick Utley, of Fort Dodge, and Casen Thilges, of Algona.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a master’s degree in urban and regional planning.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. He is employed as a CPA with Bohr, Dahm, Greif and Associates, PC, Cedar Rapids.
Following a honeymoon to Greece, the couple will reside in Marion.
