Kirby Ommen and Jacie Simon

GRIMES — Jacie Simon and Kirby Ommen, both of Grimes, are engagged.

Parents of the couple are Dennis and Sue Simon of Rockwell City and Sue Gantriis of Webster City and the late Michael Ommen.

A June 15, 2019, wedding is planned.

Simon is a 2009 graduate of Rockwell City-Lytton High School. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in Music from Iowa Central Community College and then transferred to Simpson College in Indianola where she earned her Bachelor of Music Education. She teaches 6-12 grade Vocal Music at Woodward-Granger.

Ommen is a 2011 graduate of Webster City. He earned his Associate of Arts degree in Music from Iowa Central Community College and then transferred to Simpson College in Indianola where he earned his Bachelors in Economics and Finance and Music. He now works at Broker Dealer Financial in West Des Moines.
