POMEROY — Alexis Betten and Layton Sousa, both of Pomeroy, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Nicole Betten, of Pomeroy; Jason Betten, of Fort Dodge; and Frank and Crystal Sousa, of Fonda.

A June 2 wedding is planned.

Betten is a 2013 graduate of Pocahontas Community High School and a 2016 graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree through Western Governor’s University.

Sousa is a 2014 graduate of Manson Northwest Webster High School. He attended Iowa Central Community College. He is currently working as a custom applicator at NEW Co-op in Pomeroy, as a reserve officer in Manson, is the assistant fire chief of Pomeroy Fire and also serves on the Manson Fire Department.
