HUMBOLDT -- Cadie Schmadeke and Brannon Arends, both of Humboldt, are engaged.
Parents of the couple are Clayton and Lana Schmadeke, of Callender; and Mark and Kristie Arends, of Alden.
A Sept. 9 wedding is planned.
Schmadeke is a graduate of Prairie Valley High School and Hawkeye Community College. She works at Taft Elementary School in Humboldt.
Arends is a graduate of Iowa Falls-Alden High School and Ellsworth Community College. He works for Crop Production Services in LuVerne.
