Emma Williams and Thomas Straw

Emma Williams and Thomas Straw, both of Cedar Rapids, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Michael and Tina Williams, of Fort Dodge; and Sharlene Clinton, of Independence.

A Sept. 16 wedding is planned.

Williams graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 2011 and from The University of Iowa in 2015. She is employed at Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman, PLC.

Straw graduated from Independence High School in 2005 and from NIACC in 2008. He is employed at CRST Expedited, Inc.
