Martin — Riessen

Michelle Martin, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Humboldt, and James Riessen, of Cedar Rapids, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Sheri Martin, of Fort Dodge; Dana Martin, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Humboldt; Mary Riessen, of Durant, and the late Russell Riessen.

An April 29 wedding is planned.

Martin earned her bachelor's degree in dietetics at Iowa State University. She works at UnityPoint in Davenport.

Riessen is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned his master's degree in analytical chemistry. He is an instructor at Blackhawk College in Moline, Illinois.
