GOWRIE – Stephanie Black, of Gowrie, and Thomas Halligan, of Fort Dodge, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Kevin and Kelly Black, of Gowrie; and Rick and Mary Halligan, of Fort Dodge.

A November wedding is planned.

Black earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, and a minor in sociology from Buena Vista University. She

is a special education associate at Nevada School District.

Halligan is a senior at Iowa State University studying ag business. He is the manager at Brick City Grill in Ames.
