Fort Dodge Fire Rescue Team members present Trinity Foundation and the Trinity Cancer Center with proceeds from the third annual Red Line Run, held on Oct. 6 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. The event is held in honor of Kelvin Brown, individuals who have passed away from cancer and those who are fighting cancer. Engine 5 at the fire station is named in honor of Brown. Brown loved the fire station from the first time he visited at the age of 2. One diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, his love intensified and he set a goal of living to the age of 5. The Fire Rescue Team rallied and became a special support team for him. Kelvin Brown died Sept. 7, 2012, just 20 days before his fourth birthday.
