The USG Corp. Fort Dodge plant donated $2,470 and 640 pounds of food and other supplies to the Lord’s Cupboard in the company’s sixth annual donation drive. The Lord’s Cupboard will be able to purchase over 41,100 pounds of food from the Food Bank of Iowa with the money donated.
“We’re a proud member of the Fort Dodge community and honored to give back to our neighbors this way,” said Kevin Richardson, plant manager. “Our annual donation drive is just one example of how we live our core values of integrity, service and diversity.”
This was the second year that USG’s Fort Dodge plant opened the food drive up to monetary donations. The monetary donations were taken directly to the Lord’s Cupboard by each employee who donated, which was a great way for the employees to converse with the Lord’s Cupboard team.
