Buttolph was honored with an Individual award nominated by Chad Kelchen, trail supervisor for the State of Iowa. He was nominated for completing a section of the four season trail at Brushy Creek State Recreation Area in the summer of 2018. Buttolph has been volunteering for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources since 2004.
