Dodger Cyclists honored Joan Meyer with the Golden Spoke award at the May meeting by President Ron Jacobson. Meyer was instrumental in establishing Dodger Cyclists as a viable club in 1998 to promote participation in cycling in the area, serving as president, secretary and board member. She has helped the club broaden organized activities that include RAGBRAI, as well as kayaking, cross country skiing, and hiking. Meyer lives out the mission of Dodger Cyclists, which is to encourage the enjoyment of bicycling.
