Local gardeners complete Master Gardener Training

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master Gardener training has ended for the year with six area residents completing the training. Trainees learned about a wide variety of gardening topics and received instruction from both ISU Extension and Outreach specialists and trained Master Gardeners. After completing the course, these Master Gardener interns will volunteer 40 hours within their community over the course of a year. Following their volunteer work, they will then become Master Gardeners. Master Gardeners volunteer within their communities, volunteering 20 hours per year and building their gardening know-how by participating in 10 hours of continuing education.
